Will Covering A Tattoo During The Healing Process Mess It Up?

I want to get another tattoo on my toe. However, I have to wear sneakers to work. Will covering the tatoo during the healing process mess it up? What special precautions should I take? This will be my third tattoo and the 2nd one on one of my toes. My skin doesn't hold ink very well so any advice that would help the healing process is greatly appreciated. Any suggestions on creams or lotions would help too.

I have a large tattoo on my foot and had the same issue. Make sure you can get the tattoo on a day where you will have a couple of days afterwards to let it heal before going back into your shoe. Then, make sure to keep it moist while it is in your shoe (i.e. ointment/lotion on it). As soon as you can, take off your shoe and let the tattoo breathe. This is super important, and don’t drown it in ointment while it is out of your shoe. This will still allow scabbing and peeling to occur so your ink will look great. That is what I did, and I had no problems at all with my tattoo, and I was working construction at the time so it was super labor intensive.
how fast do you usually heal after each tattoo? you should try to find a day were you can at least have the weekend for your tattoo to get through the beginning of the healing process without sneakers (since the first days are so… … gross lol

just use the the anti-biotic creme and don’t re-wrap your tattoo
but i really think since you already have 2 tattoos you will know your body and how you react and heal so just don’t push your limit and wear clean socks lol

i wouldnt do it. it won’t let your tattoo heal correctly, and probably make it fade.

Division 1 schools have extremely vigorous practices pretty much year-round. They practice in the afternoon after your classes are done.
Division 3 schools are much less vigourous and aren't year round, but there is still fall ball.
