Questions about getting a tattoo…?

Okay soo for my first tattoo it's going to be small and it's going to be a "B" in sign language + a hummingbird over part of the hand that's doing "B" in sign language...it's going to symbolize my Aunt Bobby who passed away a little over a year ago. I was wondering, can someone tell me what getting a tattoo exactly feels like? Like compare it to something? Also, for someone with a medium pain tolerance, what would it feel like (on a scale of 1-10)? Oh, and what are the most least painful places on my body to get it done at?
