Humming Bird Tattoo – Help?!?

Fist off, this will be my first ever tattoo. I'm considering a hummingbird design on my wrist...I have a couple of Qs to ask...
1) Would it be too girly? I'm getting it for a symbolic reason...
and
2) How much would it roughly cost (GB£, please) for a 3-5 cm colour design on the wrist?
I am going to the studio tomorrow (Renegade Tatu in St Albans, if anyone knows it?) to discuss it.
