I am asking this questions because i am designing my first tattoo and i would like a japanese cherry blossom branch with a hummingbird flying around it. but i would feel stupid having the hummingbird if they dont like japanese cherry blossoms.
Any help is apreciated!
what kind of butterflys do they attract? Or do any birds like them?

No they do not. You need the color red.
No. Hummingbirds like trumpet shaped flowers that contain a lot of nectar. Cherry blossoms don’t contain nectar as much as they contain pollen. And, this would be attractive to bees and butterflies.
Also, the flowers they like don’t have to be red. We have lots of hummingbirds around that go for purple and white flowers, as well as yellow and orange. Red is a very attractive color to them. But, it’s not the only thing that attracts them.
Try the fuchsia instead. They like that one and it is pretty.
Hummingbirds like any blossom that has nectar, which is most of them. It doesn’t have to be red, and it doesn’t have to be trumpet shaped. There are lots of tattoos, paintings, even ceramics that depict hummingbirds with cherry blossoms.
As opposed to dreary blossoms, I suppose most birds prefer “cheery” ones. If what you have here is a typo, however, and meant to type cherry instead of “cheery”, the answer is a resounding NO! Honeybees, however, do love cherry blossoms and it matters not whether the blossom or the bee is of the Japanese or American variety.
Hummingbirds will definitely visit cherry blossoms. Your problem is that Japan doesn’t have hummingbirds. Now if your Japanese cherry tree is in the Americas, you’re OK.
