Can I have a white flower in my tattoo?

I know that it is possible to get a white ink tattoo, but I'm not sure how good it will end up looking. I have fairly light skin with olive undertones. I don't know if it makes a difference but this will be going on my side/ribs.

The tattoo I am planning to get is a hummingbird with 2 different flowers: a white magnolia with either yellow daffodils or purple/blue pansies. The white magnolia will be the larger flower but I'm worried how it will look with the rest of the colored tattoo and if it will show up very well.

Any advice is greatly appreciated =]

Thinking of getting a tattoo..what do you think of this idea?

Ok, I am 17, and a girl, and I have been thinking about getting a tattoo. I wont get one until October (when I turn 18) which is in about 8 months, but I wanted to start thinking about it now. I have always liked the idea of getting a tattoo, and I was thinking of a small hummingbird or maybe a dragonfly on one of my shoulder blades. First of all: what do you guys think about tattoos in general? Secondly: what do you think when you see teenage girls with tattoos? Would you think worse of me for having a tattoo?
(Im just wondering because I was looking around online for information etc on tattoos, and a lot of people seem to be of the opinion that tattoos make you look common etc. I was not sure however if they meant tattoos in general, 'slag tags' and 'tramp stamps', or just all tattoos, so I want to know peoples general opinions!)
